The exhibition A Life Well Lived: Fantasy Coffins of Kane Quaye and catalogue featured 15 “fantasy coffins” by the Ghanaian artist. The coffins are part of a remarkable new burial ritual among the Ga people of southern Ghana. Each work is rich in symbolism and replete with faithfully recorded and masterfully interpreted images. They stand for lives well lived and remembered.
